On May 5, 2017 Iowa enacted HB 516, which establishes a non-strict non-photo ID requirement. It establishes five types of ID that are accepted which all embrace a photograph, but also features a provision that requires the Secretary of State’s Office to provide existing active registered voters that don’t have one of many legitimate forms of ID with voter identification playing cards.
