The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building is residence to a constantly increasing assortment of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and Modern and Contemporary Art. In 1987, one year after the Renovation, this building was converted into Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts by the City People’s Committee. However, because Art Galery of the lack of artifacts, it did not go into operation till 1992. More than a bodily space, it is the house of many sculptures, work and artifacts that contribute to the development of fine arts in Ho Chi Minh City.
