Shah Rukh Khan unveils new film King

Shah Rukh Khan, the renowned Bollywood actor, is set to star in the upcoming film King, directed by Siddharth Anand.

A new poster for the film was recently unveiled, showcasing Shah Rukh Khan’s character holding a rose between his lips and looking intensely. The caption reads, “Aaj phir yaad aaya… Qaatil nahi Aashiq hoon” (“Remembered again today I’m not a killer, I’m a lover.”)

The film will compete with several big releases during the December holiday season, including Avengers: Doomsday, Dune: Part Three, and Nagarjuna’s 100th film, titled King100. Despite the competition, Shah Rukh Khan expressed confidence in the film’s success, comparing it to the tasty filling in a burger that would stand out among other releases.

Shah Rukh Khan held an interactive session on X, where he answered fans’ questions about King. He revealed that he has been working closely with the film’s post-production and visual effects team, joking, “Troubling RC VFX a lot. Sitting on Harry and Keiten’s head to deliver the best. I think they might ban me from coming to the office late nights soon.” Director Siddharth Anand is also working hard to complete the film. Praising his dedication, SRK said, “Sid toh bechara laga hua hai. Late bhai hain… taking time to put our best foot forward so you all enjoy it and feel proud and happy with #King.”

The actor also shared an update on the film’s music, revealing that Arijit Singh is giving the soundtrack its finishing touches. He added that the singer is a perfectionist and needs time to get everything right.

The film features a massive star-studded ensemble cast, including Abhishek Bachchan as the primary antagonist and Abhay Verma as the romantic lead. The supporting lineup includes major Bollywood names like Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, and Raghav Juyal.
