Jain Irrigation slides on polymer price swings

Jain Irrigation’s shares declined after the company reported a 29.4% year-over-year drop in cash profit, which fell to ₹55.90 crore for the June quarter. Total income slipped 2.4% to ₹1,508.40 crore from ₹1,545.60 crore year-over-year. The company said its performance was hit by volatility in polymer prices and the timing of the monsoon, which led to some customer purchases in the domestic pipe and drip businesses moving into subsequent periods.

Vice Chairman and Managing Director Anil Jain said business momentum improved progressively through May and June and the company was successful in passing on higher costs of raw materials. He said the outlook ahead is positive, with polymer prices stabilizing and improved rainfall expected to strengthen agricultural demand in the coming months. Jain reiterated the company’s confidence in delivering double-digit revenue growth in FY27 and maintained EBITDA margin guidance of around 14% on a standalone basis and 12.5% on a consolidated basis.

Amara Raja’s profit rises, but shares dip

Amara Raja Energy & Mobility reported a net profit increase to ₹190.94 crore for the June quarter, up from ₹164.80 crore in the same period last year, while revenue from operations advanced to ₹4,214.54 crore from ₹3,401.08 crore. The stock fell 3.84% to ₹896.35.
